2. What data we process
- Data you send us through the website forms (call-back, appointment, registration for courses and exams, domestic workers and carers, VAT number, partnerships): full name, phone, email, the service you are interested in and any information you choose to write to us.
- Email for the newsletter, if you subscribe.
- Data you give us by phone, email or WhatsApp when you contact us.
- Browsing data: IP address, date and time, pages visited and technical browser data, recorded automatically by the server for the operation and security of the website.
In the website forms we only ask for the data needed to contact you. Please do not enter special categories of data (for example health, religion, political or trade union opinions) or documents: if needed, we will collect them in person at our office with a specific privacy notice.
3. Why we process it and on what legal basis
| Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Answering your requests, contacting you, setting an appointment, registering you for a course or an exam | Steps taken at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) |
| Sending you the monthly newsletter | Your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time |
| Managing partnerships with companies, organisations and institutions | Pre-contractual steps and the Association's legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(f)) |
| Ensuring the security of the website and preventing abuse | Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) |
| Complying with legal obligations (e.g. tax rules or requests from authorities) | Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) |
Providing your data is optional, but without the data marked as required we cannot contact you.
4. How we process the data
Messages sent through the forms reach the mailbox info@als-mi.com and a copy is stored in the website's management panel, accessible only to authorised people of the Association. We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect them. We do not use the data for automated decision-making or for commercial profiling.
The newsletter, once active, will be sent from our mailbox info@als-mi.com, without any external mailing services.
5. How long we keep it
- Contact requests: for the time needed to answer and follow up the request, and in any case no longer than 24 months from the last contact, unless you become a member or a user of a service (in which case the specific privacy notice applies).
- Newsletter: until you withdraw your consent.
- Browsing data: for the time set by the hosting provider and in any case no longer than 12 months, unless needed to investigate unlawful acts.
6. Who it may be shared with
The data is not published or sold. It may be processed, only for the purposes stated, by:
- the authorised staff and volunteers of ALS Milano;
- the technical providers of the website and email, appointed as data processors (hosting and email provider: Aruba S.p.A.);
- CAF MCL, Patronato SIAS and the other organisations of the MCL network, only if you request one of their services and with your authorisation;
- public authorities, when required by law.
7. Third-party services and transfers outside the EU
- Fonts: the website's fonts are hosted on our own server and are not downloaded from Google Fonts, so your IP address is not sent to Google for this purpose.
- Google Maps: the “How to get here” links open Google's website, which processes data according to its own privacy policy.
- WhatsApp (Meta): if you choose to message us on WhatsApp, the service is provided by WhatsApp Ireland Ltd under its own terms. You can always contact us by phone or email instead.
Any transfers of data to the United States take place under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
8. Cookies
For the use of cookies and similar technologies, see the Cookie Policy. You can change your choices at any time with the “Manage consent” button.
9. Your rights
You can ask us at any time to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict its processing, receive it in a readable format (portability) or object to processing based on legitimate interest (Articles 15–22 GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out. For the newsletter, just use the unsubscribe link in every email.
Write to info@als-mi.com or visit our office. If you believe the processing breaches the law, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).
10. Minors
Our services are also open to minors. If you are under 14, data can only be sent by a parent or a person with parental responsibility. If you are between 14 and 18 you can write to us yourself, but we recommend involving a parent.
11. Changes
We may update this privacy notice. The version in force is always published on this page, with the date of the last update.
